Good for a few payouts at most..
This firm is somewhat ok for beginners to build experience trading prop firms. After 8-9 months, overall I am displeased with the outcome of requesting payouts on a somewhat consistent basis. When I was still new to fff I was able to withdraw 1-2 payouts in a row before getting moved to live. Once this higher stage transition occurs, and you blow the account, you will at maximum earn 1 payout before being forced into the higher stage once again, also some traders get forced into a "cooling period" where you cannot make new purchases for 45-60 business days after you blow a live. This isn't the problem, the problem I have now encountered is that any new payouts I qualify for in the sim funded stage are no longer profits I can withdraw. I am being told any new payouts will now be allocated to the higher stage as drawdown instead of a payout. To put it in perspective I have to string together a consecutive $12250 in trading profits in order to pass an eval, earn on a funded account, then earn again on a "pro" account to withdraw 50% of the "pro" balance at 80/20 split, which is also capped at 5k profits. So if you make this $12250 without blowing through the same eval->funded->pro, you will receive $1960 payout. $9250 in sim funded profits for $1960 payout. Pro is not a live account, it's the precursor to the live account, and it is still a sim account. So you go from 4 sims paying you out at 90/10, to just 1 paying you at 80/20. And once your pro transitions into a live, your still limited to withdrawing 50% of profits at 80/20 for the first 20 days. This is not to mention the extra waiting periods, the fees etc. It's a headache and not rewarding whatsoever. Complete nonsense, if you trade well with this company you will be penalized. They will try to play it off and convince you its for "long term profitability" and "performance", but on paper this means your opportunity to earn any money is now much harder. This is clearly a newer addition to their "structure" as they call it, in reality its to save as much as possible by slowly filtering out more and more traders who get payouts, so they are left with traders who just spend money and don't qualify for payouts. Going live with this firm is not an achievement, their parameters to go live is just a single payout. Usually firms have a much higher criteria in order to go live, but with this firm all you need is one payout, within the past few months an influx of live invitations have came through to fff customers who receive just one payout. That should tell you enough about this company, if you are just starting out, there's definitely better firms out there who have better payout criteria, and won't move you up to live each time you qualify for a payout. "long term", "performance", "sustainability", is not found here as they claim, you will only get penalized for doing well. Take your money elsewhere.
