I am writing this review to share my personal experience with Funded Futures Family, which I believe operates in a way that is designed to avoid paying profitable traders.
I purchased four straight-to-funded accounts and successfully reached the required profit targets. I generated approximately $9,000 in profits and requested my first payout of $3,000, which was approved. On my second payout cycle, I had generated over $10,000 in profit on each account, totaling more than $40,000 combined.
Two days before my scheduled payout, I was suddenly informed that I had been moved from simulated funded accounts to a live account with only $5,000 total drawdown, and all four of my simulated funded accounts were paused without prior warning.
The live account came with significantly stricter conditions:
$1,200 daily loss limit
Maximum of 5 micro contracts
Restricted to CME products only (no gold, silver, or other commodities)
Required me to pay approximately $180 per month for live market data
After I incurred a loss of around $2,500 (still well within the remaining drawdown), Funded Futures Family closed my live account and moved me to a “Pro” account with the same balance and drawdown.
Once that account was eventually blown, I was given two options:
Wait 60 days for my accounts to be unpaused — but even if I reached another payout, I was told I would not be paid. Any payout amount would simply be used to move me back into a Pro account.
Avoid the 60-day wait by moving immediately to a live account, trade for 7 more days, meet consistency rules, and reach the profit target again — yet still receive no payout. Any requested payout would again be converted into a Pro account, and any remaining balance would be forfeited.
In short, once you enter this “Pro” and “Live” cycle, payouts are effectively denied, and you are required to repeatedly trade, meet targets, and follow new rules without ever receiving your earned profits. This appears to be an endless loop designed to avoid paying traders.
I strongly advise traders to save their time, money, and energy and choose a prop firm with transparent rules and a proven record of actually paying their traders. My experience with Funded Futures Family has been extremely disappointing and frustrating.
