A futures-focused prop firm. Since 1 March 2026 Apex has run on a new product line: end-of-day drawdown, built-in scaling, a 50% consistency requirement and no payout denials. Accounts are a one-time payment with a lifetime activation fee paid only after passing, and traders may hold several at once. Platforms include NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Rithmic and WealthCharts. Accounts bought before March 2026 run under the legacy rules.

Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$100K Account: $1,500

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

This delay is unusual compared with my past experience, and I have not received any clear explanation or timeline so far. Apex Spikes my Cortisol

If i could put a lower star rating I would. Passed the evaluation and then can't even trade my PA account and it gets shut due to inactivity of "30 days", account was activated 12ish day ago btw. Support team never responds and if they do its a simple we cant help you. Keyword "Support" just the team of cornballs. I have more chance of getting a response if I walked down the park down the road and started talking to the ants on the pavement. After I send this review I'm going to go hop in my car and do what people do after they have had a breakup. This review app wants me to add a Date of experience but every-time I deal with Apex I just want to Rip my eyeballs out. They keep spiking my cortisol levels. I just signed the Agreement to publish this review and it asked if its genuine experience but I can tell you it's that and a lot more.
