Platform issue raised immediately, Apex refused to help
Poor first experience with Apex. I signed up for an evaluation account and selected Rithmic/NinjaTrader. I already have a professional TradingView subscription and I am used to trading from that platform, so moving across to NinjaTrader/Rithmic was already going to be a new experience for me. But I accepted that because it was one of the available Apex options. Immediately after purchase, I realised the setup was not suitable for my Chromebook because I needed a clean web-based trading platform. I contacted support straight away, before properly using the evaluation account, and asked if they could switch it to Tradovate, which was the more suitable web-based option for my device setup. Apex refused to make the change and relied on their no-conversion/no-refund policy. To be clear, this was not about trading losses, blaming the firm, or trying to avoid responsibility. I have had accounts closed with other firms and never blamed the company for my trading. I own my trading outcomes. This issue was about platform suitability and customer service immediately after signup. Apex suggested workarounds such as Rithmic Mobile, TradingThings.io, and VPS-style options. Those may technically work for some people, but that was not the clean setup I needed. I did not want to start trading through workarounds and third-party access when the correct platform for my setup was Tradovate. In my opinion, Apex handled the situation poorly and showed very little flexibility for a brand-new customer who raised the issue immediately. If you are signing up, be extremely careful before paying. Once you choose a platform, they appear unwilling to correct it, even straight after purchase. I will not be continuing with Apex after this experience.
