Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

Great Firm, not for beginners

The company has made a lot of improvements over time. They are more consistent with payouts for traders that are actually following the rules and are profitable, and the support is very fast. One of the OGs in the prop firm space and I’m glad they are keeping up with the competition. 4/5 stars only because it takes so long to recieve your payout after getting approved where other firms do same day or 1-3 days deposit, whereas apex it’ll take 5-7 business days at a minimum to hit your bank, if you have early pay.

buffer too big for initial pay out, its nice and well priced with the promo codes, but If I have to buffer to 52600 just to get some of that money, is it really worth it? so if I want to get 2k its better for me to buffer all the way toe 54600 literally making you guys too much money while you sit on your butts collecting it

I appreciate being able to trade…

I appreciate being able to trade several accounts with the ability to trade copy them. A lot has changed with what's called Apex 3.0 you can only use Apex if you are attended. Be sure to be attended while trading. The other caveat is you must be managing your trades. Do not attempt to try to pass evals quickly. There are a lot of rules such as hedging / counter position to be aware of.
