Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

first pass

happy to finally pass my first account but will not be purchasing another account since the new rules. i did like using apex its a great platform and 'had' good rules but since the update i dont think ill be able to keep passing and passing the accounts every month. id like to keep the passed account i have for a while and blowing it, and not having a timeline to go off of.

Account not activated

I bought a challenge and my account is still not activated. Apart from acknowledgment of the payment, no other emails. I have sent 2 emails and no reply. There is no step by step guide how to setup, i did this via youtube third party videos. The Login/password provided on the dashboard does not work. It may be a good company, but disappointed with the customer service

The pricing and costs of the new 50k…

The pricing and costs of the new 50k EOD Tradovate account are misleading. On the first step of the registration process it clearly states "50k Tradovate EOD Trail $197.00 one-time fee for 30 days". This implies that there is only one fee. After I passed the eval I find out I have to pay a $99.00 "PA" fee. I find this contradictory to the statement if there being a one-time fee. I was reluctant to give Apex another chance given their reputation and my past experience.
