After 142 days of struggling, testing different strategies, and working on my own behavior, I finally reached the initial goal of qualifying for my first payout from Apex... and what a milestone it was! Once I submitted the payout request, it was approved within 24 hours. However, there was a hiccup: my banking details (account and routing number) were missing from the system. Fortunately, Apex reached out to me right away to flag the issue, and once I updated the information, I received the funds in my bank account within 3–4 business days. One of the biggest challenges I faced early on was adapting to the trailing drawdown. It can be confusing at first, especially for traders new to the funded account model. What ultimately helped me succeed was keeping things simple: I focused on one or two high-quality setups per day, avoided revenge trading, and stopped trading after hitting my daily goal or max loss. That discipline helped me stay consistent and in control. Overall, my experience with Apex has been very positive. Receiving my first payout felt like validation for the hard work and persistence.
