A futures-focused prop firm. Since 1 March 2026 Apex has run on a new product line: end-of-day drawdown, built-in scaling, a 50% consistency requirement and no payout denials. Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

Apex is a great starter account

My experience with Apex has been very good. They have a couple more rules for withdrawal compared to a few prop firms but their accounts are very cheap and I like the fact that they allow you to pass in one day. Their activation fee is reasonable and they run great discounts often. The only feedback I have and would like to see expedited in the futures is the withdrawal process took a full 7 business days, where other prop firms took 1-3 at the most. I will say this was my first withdraw so hopefully that was the reason for the extra time and the next withdrawal will be quicker. All in all it has been a great experience with Apex.
