Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

Bought over a month 4 evaluation…

Apex trader dirty scammers. Bought over a month 4 evaluation accounts for like $20 each. Then without any notification or message decided to charge me $500 to reset these accounts. This is a complete scam and should be shut down immediately. These other 5 star reviews are fake and only added after a bad review.

How do I pay for my 14th PA account, since you decline my credit cards?

I currently have 13 PA accounts, and passed my 14th eval today. When I tried to pay for my 14th PA, your web site told me that my payment was declined. Both of the credit cards that I tried are good. So I don't know how to do this.

The absolute worst prop ever

The absolute worst prop ever. Nothing is streamlined and everything requires contacting support. Want change your bank info? Contact support. Want to change your address? Contact support. God forbid you request a payout and receive it in a timely manner, let alone receive it at all.
