Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

Delayed/Missing Payment

I've been trading with Apex for the past couple of months and have gotten my first 8 payouts approved and paid quickly with ease. However, my recent payout request on January 8 was approved within a couple of hours along with a "payment sent" email on January 9. I have yet to receive the payout even though typically the funds would appear within 24-48 hours of the "payment sent" email. It is currently January 16 with no update.

They have good customer service but too…

They have good customer service but too strict with their traders. I have a live account and have met all their rules. Buy now they tell me I can't request a payout because of improper risk management. I trade the way I trade and I make money so why the heck does it care if my risk management isn't good as long as I win

It's still not 100% resolved because I…

It's still not 100% resolved because I haven't received my payout. My payment was approved on December 27, but I haven't received the email from PLANE or my money yet. They gave me a deadline of 4 business days, which I think is this coming Monday. I hope to receive the invitation from PLANE and payment next week. If everything goes as expected, I still trust APEX and would recommend it.
