Everything too slow
A futures-focused prop firm with a 100% profit split and account sizes from $25,000 to $150,000, with combined funding up to $6,000,000. Since March 2026, Apex moved to a one-time payment model with a lifetime activation fee paid only after passing. Both EOD and intraday trailing drawdown options are available across platforms including NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Rithmic, and WealthCharts.

Overall Apex funding is legit and makes trading large capital feel more affordable with the monthly payments. Tradeovate I've had great experience with so that option is nice. Customer support is mediocre. Definitely room for improvement but overall my issues were resolved over time. Make sure you read and understand the rules to passing the evaluation, i would say its the most strict and has more rules than other prop firms but nothin you cant handle if you're a real trader - not a gambler.

Honestly, Apex is still competitive with their 25k account, withdraw over the buffer -500 dollars...however, their recent changes are not trader friendly, and their payout denial criteria are something other firms wouldn't be caught dead doing...I want to activate my other 25ks, but I am low-key afraid they're going to arbitrarily enforce their contract sizing or 5:1 r.r (of which I've asked for clarifications on, with no definitive answer, these rules are in fact quite grey), and then my 2 weeks of hard work trading will be for nothing...they really need to address the community in a way that restores customer confidence, because I am not confident.

Updated Review: The original review is available below. As an update, the 4 accounts that Apex declined twice were finally approved for payouts. It took some internet sleuthing to determine how to get them there. I want to point out this particular bit of text quoted from Apex's website -- Apex's Commitment Fair and Consistent Rule Enforcement: Apex is dedicated to the consistent and objective enforcement of all trading rules. This means that rules are applied equally to all traders, without any subjective interpretation or exceptions. If a rule is violated, appropriate actions such as probation or denial of payouts will be clearly communicated to the trader, ensuring they understand the reason for the action taken. Accountability for Both Parties: Apex is committed to maintaining full transparency, ensuring that both traders and the company are held accountable for their actions. This mutual accountability promotes a fair and reliable trading environment. -- That is frankly, not true in the least. When Apex denies a payment, a very generic reason code is given. There are no specific trades listed and not even a specific reason under their rules. You will get a generic "Improper Risk Management" and then be in a loop for 8 days until you request a second time, knowing that you followed all rules only to be denied again because they look back at the first period that they already denied you for if you request any of that money. Pros - affordable, and they pay Cons - not transparent and they don't want to pay There's a lot of competition. Apex needs to evolve. Original Review Three star review because there are positives and negatives to Apex. Let's start with the positives! The are a legitimate prop firm that really does pay you out when you meet the criteria to earn a payout. To date, I have 9 approved payouts from Apex and have actually received money in my account. So what's negative you might ask? A couple of things. The first is a few of their rules that just don't make a lot of sense. The first is the hedging rule. Let's be clear hedging, defined as hold both a long and short position on an asset simultaneously, should never be allowed in prop firm trading. That would essentially allow a trader to make risk free profits by sending two accounts in opposite directions and keeping the one that didn't light on fire. No prop firm should ever tolerate that or payout for that unskilled behavior. Apex, however, expands the definition of hedging to encompass any position on any asset on any account that is in an opposite direction. Liking the long on NQ, but see an opportunity for a quick profit short on ES in a scalp? Hedging, according to Apex. That's madness. The next negative is the lack of transparency. Remember those 9 approved payouts? Well I also have 8 that have been denied. Initially, 4 payouts were denied for the ever ambiguous "Improper Risk Management". Apex provides you with a link to a website where you can click on a link to get more info. That link takes you to a page with every single violation possible listed and nothing specific to your account or circumstance. No problem, I reduced my trading activity to one trade per day copied across my accounts (copiers are allowed at Apex) to ensure that I was following every single rule. I put in for 6 payouts after 8 more days, the original 4 denials plus 2 that had been approved once before. All 6 accounts traded identically the entire 8 days. The two previously approved were approved again. The four previously denied were denied again. When asked for specifics, I was informed that they couldn't give me any information. I was told to track each individual trade, which I have been doing. They obviously saw a trade that they had a problem with. That's totally within their rights. The refusal to tell me what the trade was or what their problem was? That's a bad customer experience. There is a problem if you are going to deny payouts (which is well within your rights as a prop firm) and not give specificity as to why. Seeing as how all these accounts were traded identically and some were approved, the rational conclusion is that the reviewer reviewed the account from the beginning of its history again rather than in the trading period relevant to the request. This happens. However, there is no appeal. There is no information provided. There is no way to say, "Hey, are you sure you guys got this right?" As such, this review is three stars. You can trade and you can make money with Apex. You can also have your payouts denied and receive no information as to why. This review will be increased to 4 stars if on the next cycle any of those 4 accounts gets approved the same as the others. It will be lowered to 2 stars if they are denied again while other accounts traded in the same exact trades are approved.
