Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

The trailing drawdown they have is a…

The trailing drawdown they have is a setup for failure. Until they get rid of that, this company sets you up for failure. The trailing drawdown is made for you to continue to fail and start over and keep buying buying buying. They will tell you it’s your protection however the TRUTH is it’s for their profit and game plan. DO NOT buy or try with them you’ll thank me later and I’ll save you hundreds or thousands of dollars with their failure system!

I did everything I was suppose to

I did everything I was suppose to. I passed the evaluation account, signed the agreement for the PA account, paid the PA account activation fee, and yet when I log into Tradovate, no live PA account exists. I have received an email saying my PA account was ready to be used and that I was ready to go. Customer support is the worst. Very delayed. Likely a bot or 3rd party in India.

Apex is limiting payouts and denying payouts left and right. They will no longer allow you to DCA not even once. I see them going out of business soon.
