Accounts are a one-time payment with a lifetime activation fee paid only after passing, and traders may hold several at once. Platforms include NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Rithmic and WealthCharts. Accounts bought before March 2026 run under the legacy rules.

Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$100K Account: $1,500

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

Very fair and professional funded prop…

Very fair and professional funded prop firm. Been using them now for 4 years with no issues accept a couple data login issues, which were corrected within a day. Would highly recommend, just follow the rules/process and you will become a successful/consistent trader. Too many other users out there that try to game the system, making it harder for the honest trader. Just make sure you read the terms of service & you will be the next success story!

Best prop of 2026 by far

Just got my first ever payout with Apex Trader Funding and I’m honestly super excited. 🎉 Right now I’m just waiting for my bank statements to be verified, which is needed for the payout approval. I’m eligible for the payout, but the dashboard currently shows “ineligible” because the verification hasn’t been completed yet. I already opened a support ticket and contacted the support team — currently waiting on day 3 for the update. That said, I still want to say that Apex has been amazing overall, especially with the new updates. The system is built to actually help traders become consistent and disciplined, which is something a lot of firms claim but don’t really support. One thing I really like is that payouts get approved very quickly. Once everything is verified, payouts are processed in minutes, which means you can keep trading while waiting for the payout. That’s a huge plus compared to many other firms. Overall, great experience so far and I’m looking forward to many more payouts. 💪 PS: Apex team, if you see this — could you maybe help me out with the verification? I already opened a support ticket. Thanks!
