Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

My payout approved and received email as to the reason for the delay and said to expect invitation email from plane for my payout. It’s been way longer than the time they gave me and no words, I open tickets and the agents giving me the bs copy and paste response that they give to everyone without fully reading my message. Frustrating and a very bad look

Night Trade Scam

I started trading with apex account and was extremely exited , yet yesterday something very strange happened. I knew it’s not allowed to leave a trade at night and it would get closed so wanted to see that happens and how it works. What happened is that they kept my losing trades and gave me the minus at the same time causing X2 lose that caused and instant account blow. It’s my first experience with them but it looks extremely odd so either do not ever hold trade at night or be careful of other things they might do.

Since then it's been downhill past two months. They have declined my payouts without any proper explanation. I asked to be connected to compliance department as I believe I traded within the rules but I was given 'Improper risk management ' as the reason for payout denial by customer service and never got connected to compliance. Customer service stopped responding to my emails. Recently this week I ran into Tradovate platform glitches leading to 4 blown PA accounts and 7 Evals. I have contacted customer service every day this week with video evidence of glitches due to which I was unable to get out of my positions, my trailing drawdown was fluctuating and positions were reversing and not closing. All my manual orders were being rejected. It's been 3 days since my first ticket and I have still not heard back from Apex customer service. This is the end of road for me with Apex. They have lost my trust and I will not be trading with them any more
