Apex Trader Funding

I've been trading with APEX for over a year, consistently paying evaluation and Performance Account (PA) fees, which totaled thousands of dollars. Recently, after reaching my payout requests, I was asked to submit videos of my trading sessions to verify I was the actual trader. I complied, submitting multiple videos that demonstrated my strategy and trading sessions. Despite this, APEX accused me of not being the account owner/trader and proceeded to deny my payout requests, close my accounts, and retain approximately $20,000 in funds. This experience has been devastating, as I trusted APEX and never anticipated such treatment. Watching YouTube videos that warned about potential payout issues with APEX after this experience makes me feel that this might not be an isolated incident. I’m sharing this to warn others who may be considering trading with APEX. Be cautious and ensure you fully understand the risks and policies before committing to any prop trading firm.

When placing a market order with a stop-loss, the system creates an additional open order that doesn’t automatically get removed after the market order is closed. This isn’t made clear, and if you’re not aware of it, it can lead to unexpected trades that can be very expensive. In my case, it cost me my PA account. While this isn’t directly Apex’s fault, the fact that they rely on a platform with such outdated and user-unfriendly mechanics is disappointing. I believe traders deserve better tools that are more intuitive and less prone to mistakes like this. If you decide to use this service, be extremely cautious and double-check every open order. And just as a friendly suggestion to Apex – it’s not enough to only respond to your happy customers. It might also be worth engaging with those who have less positive things to say about their experience. Perhaps together, you can improve your platform. Right now, there are some gaps that need attention.

The trailing SL is the stupidest thing I've come across. It heavily favour towards scalpers which I am not. The amount of times I have gone up in profit and then been liquidated because it has come back (and I'm talking about only coming back as far as entry) is ridiculous. I can't be watching the charts every goddam second it's why I have a god dam SL but to be liquidated while still in profit because of the trailing SL is the most retarded thing I've ever seen. ATF is such a piece of shit

Don't do it! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! Apex (Darrell) is trying to "make things new" asking for beta testers on their new platform. If you don't pay for the product...you ARE the product. They want you to familiarize yourself with the platform, get comfortable, and then give them money. Their trailing drawdown is a joke and meant for you to fail. Lets say you have a $3k buffer from the start. You enter a trade and go up $2k but later that day you go down $2k to your beak even. Because of their trailing drawdown, you now only have a $1k buffer. Word of advice, use a prop firm the allows trailing drawdown that get calculated at the END OF DAY! In that scenario, you would still be break even the next day, allowing you the full $3k buffer. This Numbaht Darrell, just wants to entice you with cheap challenges so the 90% of us retail traders keep trying and wasting our money giving it to him! Look into topstep. They are more friendly to us as people with money. Honestly, as a poor trader myself...I think limiting me to 1 or 2 accounts a month, but taking $10 or $20 and using that money to gift away to friends and family is much more rewarding than giving to numbnaht darrell! Imagine standing in line at starbucks or a bar with a friend/family and be like "lemme get this. It's on me." Buy a $10 toy and gift it randomly to your kid, niece, or nephew. It will brighten up their day for sure. Buy your wife or girlfriend some bath beads or something. IDK, but you know where I'm going with this. What I want to convey is...Learn trading and get your fix, but "propfirms" owned by numbnahts like apex, DO NOT deserve our money! Just read his terms and conditions. I wish you much love and Aloha. Let us not just give away our hard earned money to people who don't deserve it or already have a stash. Let us use it for things and people that we know and truly care about. It will always come back.
