Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

In the terms of service it states at any time they can and will terminate your account and keep your money. Fund yourself and build it with your own money slowly, then the only way you lose is if your account is negative cashflow and you dont add more funds

Apex resets your account randomly during the month even while positive

They continuously have issues that resets eval accounts... I was willing to let it slide when it was only $100 - $300 that was wiped in previous accounts but this time it was $1,600 and since I did not screenshot my account I had no proof and they are unwilling to help. To make matters worse they were having issues with Tradovate so although they wiped my account randomly on the 4th day of the month I was unable to trade again until today the 14th. This is a reoccurring issue that either happens from neglect and needing to fix their programs or malicious intent in hopes it adds higher stress on people to try and pass and ending up over leveraging and blowing their account. I am writing this review because this has been an ongoing issue and anyone new should not have to deal with these issues. Especially since Apex just raised their prices but still are having these issues without offering a refund or honoring discounts into the upcoming month so you are stuck paying more regardless without a real chance to pass your challenge.

Complete scam

Complete scam! If you have winning trades (even in the eval account), suddenly tradovate is not working anymore, you can't open any position and next day your account is reset without the previous made gains! the company clearly states that no trade is ever placed on a live broker account so clearly they have no incentive to have profitable traders on their platform! Lesson learned!
