Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

"No Trailing Drawdown" is a Marketing Myth. Watch the MAE!

Apex advertises 'No Trailing Drawdown' on PA accounts, but don't be fooled. They simply swapped it for a strict Maximum Adverse Excursion (MAE) rule. On a $50$k account, if a trade dips more than $-$750$—even if it ends in a massive profit—you are disqualified from that payout.It’s essentially a hidden, per-trade drawdown that makes their 'buffer' look bigger than it actually is. Combine that with a 'Static' drawdown that actually trails until you hit a specific floor, and you realize the house still holds all the cards. Great for high-win-rate scalpers, but a nightmare for anyone who needs room for trades to breathe. Read the fine print before you commit. That said, response time for CSR has been quick. I'm going to try my luck with them and see how it goes.

It's a good prop firm, but they could improve their response time when customer support is needed. The payouts could also be better. There are prop firms that pay on the same day of the request.

Approval and once approved, funding takes long time to settle in bank. 8 days to payout and almost another 7-8 days to get funds. 15 days are too much
