Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

Must avoid

Multiple of my funded accounts disappeared from one day to the other without a reason, and support is not answering. You may build the accounts for months/years just to see them get deleted like it happened to me. Please avoid and value your time and money.

Apex is best for Denying Payouts and Deleting my Lifetime PA Accounts

I would rate Apex -0 stars but Trustpilot does not have that option. I have stuck with APEX for a few years now and it has been a struggle most of the time. Main issuers are Trading platform support. example: connections to Ninja Trader and Tradovate are poor. Apex blames Ninja Trader and Tradovate and Ninja Trader support blames Apex. I survived by using Tradingview for my trades. I have had 19 PA accounts with Apex. Signed on 2 days ago and 5 of my lifetime PA accounts are missing. I have not traded these 5 since activation. I have contacted support and have had NO response. Honestly since APEX 3.0 rule changes I want to leave APEX, but I have these lifetime PA accounts. Again 5 Lifetime PA accounts have disappeared for NO reason. I have not traded them since activation. No response after contacting support. The only thing Apex is good at is denying payouts. bottom line here is: Trading is hard enough; one should not have to deal with a shady APEX broker making trading even more difficult.

The platform is a bit behind and poorly supported

The platform is a little behind and it is very difficult to order clearly, which caused me to choose the wrong Broker and then I asked them to change to Rithmic because the one I bought couldn't use it, because I didn't have access to the platform since you have to pay for it and they couldn't make the change, they just told me to cancel my account and I had no right to a refund or changes to the account, so I lost all my money, for this reason I don't recommend them. I imagine the same thing must have happened to many people as to me.

Scam, no Payout

This proptrading Company is a scam. I had a verified payout but didn't get an invitation from their payment provider Plane. Thus, no transaction could be carried out. The support kept saying the same thing. I should wait 1-2 working days and check my spam folder. It's been 4 weeks now. Absolute scam.

Apex is a scam, once they realize that you are profitable trader they would find excuses not to pay you and close your account. i also believe that they hardly have anyone in their live accounts. the company works on a pyramid scheme
