ive never gotten a payout and only have purchased one eval from them solely because i couldnt place orders on trading view even when connected with tradovate just kept telling me symbol not available to be traded and then their ui on their platform is also just straight garbage especially coming from other prop firms such as topstep or lucid where they have amazing and easy to use platforms so im just not rly sure why anyone would use apex other than ig their 20 account limit

Reasons not to trust Apex Trader Funding 1) 30% Negative open PnL MAE rule. This is a Daily Loss Limit. Other firms will close your trade and lock you out for the day if you hit it. Apex let's you break it, then denies your next payout request. 2) Scaling Rule. Other prop firms will only let you trade with the number of contracts you are allowed. Apex will let you trade more than you are allowed, then take the profits your earned and possibly close your account, depending on how they feel that day. 3) Intraday Drawdown (I can deal with the trailing). Any prop firm that enforces this rule is a scam. Penalizes you for unrealized gains. If the market pulls back while you are in an open trade your drawdown gets hit. I honestly don't know how Apex is as popular as they are. There is plenty of competition out there that offers End Of Day drawdown. Apex is the only prop firm that enforces the MAE rule and allows you to trade with more contracts than you are allowed. Accidents happen. Apex is the honey badger of prop firms. They don't give a sh*t.

Have been waiting 4 business for them to respond to my payout request. It says 2 business days on the website. It doesn't seem fair to be able to pay instantly and then when you want them to payout they just ignore your emails and take longer then what they say.

While it is nice to be able to purchase evals for a low price and only upgrade once you've passed, the payout time is just so far behind competitors. I requested a payout 10 days ago, it was approved 7 days ago and still no payout in my account. I have accounts with three other firms and I receive my payout the same day they are approved on all of those accounts. Waiting weeks is just not ideal when there are so many other better options.

To be honest with Apex, it can work for some. I do not recommend them if you're trading using Algos, AI, hands of, or any other automated trading strategies. It's a shame really because majority of people who cannot trade during the day are mostly affected. On a positive note, they are the most affordable prop firms out here. If you're looking into automation, this is not the prop firm for you.
