Topstep and Take Profit Trader don't work with MyPropFirm, but we include them because a futures ranking without them wouldn't be honest.
How We Rank Futures Prop Firms
We don't sell rankings. Firms that work with MyPropFirm get the same scrutiny as firms that don't, and two of the six firms here aren't partners.
We look at five things, roughly in this order:
- The rules you'll actually trade under. Drawdown type, consistency rule, daily loss limit and contract limits, taken from each firm's own help center.
- How you get paid. Profit split, how many days you need before a payout, caps per payout and how fast the money arrives.
- Real cost. The evaluation price after the current discount code, plus any activation fee. MyPropFirm checks these prices every day.
- Path to live. Whether there's a clear route from a simulated account to a live one.
- Restrictions. Bots, news trading, copy trading and platform choice.
What we don't do is rank by pass rates or payout totals that firms publish about themselves. We can't verify those numbers, so they don't move a firm up or down. Our full methodology page explains how prices are checked.
The Best Futures Prop Firms by Category
Best Overall: Lucid Trading (LucidFlex)
LucidFlex doesn't have one killer feature. It just has very few weak spots. The 50K evaluation asks for $3,000 with a $2,000 end-of-day drawdown, and there's no activation fee when you pass. The 50% consistency rule has a small cushion built in, so you can pass in 2 days. Once you're funded, the rule is gone.
Payouts need 5 days with at least $150 profit, then you can request any day. Lucid sends the money within 2 business days, splits 90/10, and moves you to a live account after 5 payouts. Automated strategies and trade copiers are allowed.
The downside is the cap. Each payout is limited to 50% of your profit, up to $2,000 on 50K, so pulling most of your balance out in one go isn't an option.
From my experience: In my opinion, Lucid is the best firm right now. Payouts arrive quickly, support answers fast, and the rules are simple. Having no consistency rule on the funded account is a big plus.
Best for Beginners: Topstep
In our view, Topstep keeps a first evaluation simple. If your best day goes over 55% in the Trading Combine, you don't fail – your profit target just moves up. The $2,000 Maximum Loss Limit trails your end-of-day balance and locks at your starting balance.
Once funded, you pick a payout path. The Standard path needs 5 winning days of $150 or more, while the Consistency path needs only 3 trading days but adds a 40% rule. Both pay 90/10. On 50K, Standard payouts are capped at 50% of your balance up to $2,000, and Consistency payouts at $3,000.
On the Express Funded Account, Topstep caps each Standard payout at $2,000 on 50K, the same as Lucid. As of October 2026, a limited-time offer doubles the caps if you add a Daily Loss Limit at checkout. Topstep also doesn't spell out exactly when you move to a Live Funded Account, and it isn't a MyPropFirm partner.
Cheapest: Apex
Apex is often the cheapest way into a 50K futures evaluation, but that depends on this month's codes: $59 + $129 activation or $49. There's no consistency rule in the evaluation and no minimum number of days.
You pay for that later, though. Each Performance Account pays out six times at most, the 50% consistency rule applies to every payout, and you can't hold positions past 4:59 PM ET.
Fastest Payouts: My Funded Futures (Rapid)
My Funded Futures Rapid lets you request a payout every day, at 90/10, once you have $2,100 of realized profit on 50K. MFFU's payout page says most payouts are approved instantly. If yours goes to manual review, it can take 6–12 business hours on weekdays.
In my own trading, MFFU has sent a payout about 10 seconds after I submitted the request. I haven't seen that speed anywhere else.
The catch is the $2,100 buffer you have to build before the first payout. The 50K Rapid account also uses an intraday drawdown once funded, unless you buy the Rapid EOD version. The evaluation rule is 30% on EOD and 50% on intraday, with no consistency rule on the funded account.
Payouts From Day One: Take Profit Trader
Take Profit Trader lets you withdraw from day one of the funded (PRO) account, and daily after that. There's also no consistency rule in PRO; the 50% rule only applies to the Test.
The catch is in the details. PRO uses an intraday drawdown, there's a buffer equal to your drawdown before profits can be withdrawn, and the split is 80/20. PRO+ improves that to 90/10 with an end-of-day drawdown and no buffer. Take Profit Trader isn't a MyPropFirm partner.
Best for Scaling: Apex
Apex lets you hold up to 20 active Performance Accounts at the same time, four times the 5 funded accounts allowed at Lucid, Tradeify Select and Take Profit Trader. If you want to run many funded accounts at once, nobody else here comes close.
Same catch as before: each Performance Account pays out six times at most, so a long-term plan means buying new evaluations.
Also Worth a Look: Tradeify Select
Tradeify Select Daily pays out daily once you're eligible, capped at $1,250 on 50K accounts bought after September 1, 2026. Tradeify's page promises 24 hours in one place and 24–48 hours in another, so don't count on the faster one. The 40% evaluation rule is stricter than Lucid's and means at least 3 trading days, but it disappears once you're funded.
From my experience: Topstep's evaluation is the simplest, but if you're just starting, I'd still look at Lucid or Tradeify first. They're similar in price and in what they ask of you. For a brand-new trader, Tradeify might even be the better choice: its 40% evaluation rule is stricter, which forces you to build the habit of taking profits instead of chasing one big day.
EOD vs Intraday: Which Firms Use What
In our view, the drawdown type matters as much as its size. An intraday drawdown follows your open profit in real time, so a trade that runs and comes back costs you room even if you close it green. An end-of-day drawdown only moves after the session closes.
| Firm and plan | Evaluation | Funded account |
|---|---|---|
| Lucid Trading LucidFlex | End-of-day | End-of-day |
| Lucid Trading LucidDaily | EOD or intraday (chosen at checkout) | Intraday |
| Topstep | End-of-day | End-of-day |
| Apex | You choose: EOD or intraday | Same as the evaluation |
| Tradeify (all accounts) | End-of-day | End-of-day |
| Take Profit Trader | End-of-day (Test) | Intraday (PRO), end-of-day (PRO+) |
| My Funded Futures Rapid | EOD or intraday version | Intraday (EOD on Rapid EOD) |
| My Funded Futures Pro | End-of-day | End-of-day |
Take Profit Trader is the one to watch here. You pass on an end-of-day drawdown, then trade the PRO account on an intraday one, until you move up to PRO+.
Either way, the floor is enforced in real time. End-of-day only changes when the floor moves up, not whether a dip during the session can close your account.
Current Discount Codes for Futures Firms
As of October 2026, these are the codes we have. They change often, sometimes weekly, so we update the list when they do.
| Firm | Current code |
|---|---|
| Lucid Trading | BETZ |
| Topstep | No code |
| Apex | BETZ |
| Take Profit Trader | No code |
| Tradeify | BETZ |
| My Funded Futures | BETZ |
We may receive a commission if you use this code.
Firms We Don't Recommend (and Why)
We don't publish a blacklist, because it would be out of date within a month. These are the red flags that keep a firm off this list:
- Rules you can't find in writing. If the drawdown, consistency rule or payout policy isn't in the help center, you can't check it before you pay, and you can't point to it if a payout is denied.
- Payout rules that only appear after you pass. Read the funded account and payout pages before you buy, not only the evaluation page.
- Vague "review" language around payouts. Clear firms list the days, amounts and caps. A policy that leaves payouts to the firm's judgement gives you nothing to rely on.
- Rules that change for existing accounts. A firm that rewrites the rules for accounts you already own is hard to plan around. Apex did the opposite on March 1, 2026: legacy accounts kept their old rules.
- Prices that only look cheap. A low evaluation price with a high activation fee or a monthly subscription can cost more than a pricier one-time evaluation.
If a firm fails two or more of these, we'd pass on it, however good the discount looks.
Verdict
In our view, LucidFlex is the best all-round choice for futures traders in 2026: no activation fee, a forgiving evaluation rule, no consistency rule once funded and payouts within 2 business days. My Funded Futures is the pick if you want your money fastest, Take Profit Trader if you want to withdraw from day one, and Apex if you want to run many accounts.
None of them is perfect. Lucid caps each payout at 50% of your profit, Take Profit Trader's PRO account keeps 20% and uses an intraday drawdown, Topstep caps every payout until you go live, MFFU Rapid makes you build a $2,100 buffer first, and Apex stops paying an account after six payouts. Pick the firm whose weak spot matters least for how you trade.
FAQ
Which futures prop firm is the most legit?
We can't vouch for any firm's finances, but we can check how clearly it writes its rules. Lucid, Topstep, Apex, Tradeify, Take Profit Trader and My Funded Futures all publish their drawdown, consistency and payout rules in a public help center. That's the first thing to check before you trust a firm with your money.
Which futures prop firm is easiest to pass?
On paper, Apex, which has no evaluation consistency rule and no minimum days, and LucidFlex, where the 50% rule has a cushion that lets you pass in 2 days. An end-of-day drawdown also makes passing easier than an intraday one. In our view, LucidFlex is the easiest overall, because the rule also disappears once you're funded.
Do futures prop firms accept US traders?
Yes. Apex pays US traders by ACH direct deposit, Topstep offers ACH next to a few other US options, and Take Profit Trader pays through Plaid or ACH. Check each firm's restricted-countries list if you trade from outside the US.
Which futures prop firm pays the fastest?
My Funded Futures. On the Rapid plan you can request a payout every day once you have $2,100 of realized profit, and MFFU says most payouts are approved instantly. Take Profit Trader lets you withdraw from day one of the PRO account, and Tradeify Select Daily also pays daily once you're eligible.
Can I trade futures prop firms on TradingView?
Yes, at some firms. Take Profit Trader lists TradingView among its platforms, and Tradeify supports it through Tradovate. Topstep is different: its own TopstepX platform uses TradingView charts, but you can't connect it to TradingView to place trades.
