Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$100K Account: $1,500

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

Horrible website and worse customer service!

Your website and the functions on it are ridiculous! That is the most unfriendly website for your clients that I have ever been on in my life!! Horrible! I would prefer to leave zero stars but as usual, your ridiculous options are misleading and difficult to use. Then on top of being so difficult to figure out, you make it so that when setting things up and if you make a mistake this company won't refund your money or transfer it to the account you meant to set up. Horrible customer service and terrible website!!! Just awful experience all around!!!

Apex lies about rule breaking to deny payout

I followed all the apex rules, requested my third payout, and then apex denied my payout and said that they emailed me previously about breaking their rules. I checked my email but I never received one. So i contacted apex support, but they completely ignored me and still hasnt responded to me in 2 days.

Horrible onboarding & incomplete…

Horrible onboarding & incomplete instructions on how to set up programs and a drawdown that cancels your account after you lose like 2.5%, but it's based on your top p&l so you're basically going to fail go use deep charts it's way better don't waste your time here. It's great if you can scale already with a profitable strategy that works within their rule set but it's kind of dumb. Deepcharts only. I also canceled my renewal and it kept renewing on me so that's pretty dishonest
