Trading Rules

News trading is permitted as part of a normal strategy. Chasing news spikes or placing orders on both sides of the market around a release is not allowed.

All positions must be closed before 4:59 PM ET every trading day. Overnight and weekend holding is not permitted. Trading reopens at 6:00 PM ET.

Hedging is not permitted: no simultaneous long and short positions on the same or correlated instruments, including across accounts.

Copying trades from other traders is not permitted.

Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are not permitted. Manual trading only.

Every trade needs risk management; using the drawdown threshold as a stop loss is not allowed.

Type: EOD Trailing. The threshold is calculated once a day from the closing balance (4:59 PM ET) and enforced in real time during the next session.

On Rithmic and WealthCharts the drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the balance with the profit target (e.g. $53,000 for 50K); on Tradovate it keeps trailing.

$150K Account: $2,000

Hitting the limit closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session. The evaluation is not failed.

Maximum Contracts

$25K Account: 4 minis / 40 micros

$50K Account: 6 minis / 60 micros

$100K Account: 8 minis / 80 micros

$150K Account: 12 minis / 120 micros

Fixed for the whole evaluation, no scaling. 10 micros = 1 mini; orders above the limit are rejected without a breach.

Additional Rules

Consistency Rule: None.

Minimum Trading Days: None, you can pass in 1 day.

Time Limit: 30 calendar days from purchase, no extensions.

Fees: one-time payment, no subscription. No resets — after a failed evaluation you buy a new one.

Funded account activation fee, due within 7 days of passing: one-time, the current amount is shown next to the account in the table (Apex changes it during promotions); "No Activation Fee" accounts pay nothing.

That layout stage is confusing. Information is all over the place. Make it a bullet point listing somewhere. FAQ saysy 1 day? 8 days? 100 minimum profit. 50$ minimum profits?? Come on.

Company is a scam

Company is a scam. They will do everything in their power to not pay you out. Dashboard will say you have 0 rule violations and then when you request a payout they’ll deny you for a random rule violation from weeks ago. They’ll randomly pull profits from your account that happened on the day of your violation. THEN you can reach out to support about what’s going on and they’ll ignore you for days. There’s been times they never even got back to me. So many great prop firms out there, don’t let the cheap accounts lure you in. There’s a reason they offer the accounts for so cheap!

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. Stick with one of the other trustworthy prop firms. Website tells you when you’ve broken a rule or not. Said I had broken 0 rules. Said I was eligible for a payout. I requested a payout and they claimed I broke a rule my 2nd day despite their dashboard saying no rules were broken. So I trade another 8 days. I’m $400 away from the next threshold to request a payout and they removed almost a grand out of my account and said that’s removed because it’s what I made the day I “broke a rule” waited almost a month to remove that money. Company will find any way not to pay out traders.

Hello everyone

Hello everyone, I’ve started trading with Apex since the beginning of my journey but recently had a bad experience with them once I started to become consistent. It seems Apex is not very favourable to payout their traders. They have to taught me to be disciplined because of their strict rules but that’s about it. It’s not worth wasting your time with a firm that doesn’t pay, there’s better alternatives but other than that, I won’t be continuing my journey with them unfortunately. Very hard to believe all the positive reviews are legit. It’s likely bots as I have seen duplicate reviews. 17k reviews doesn’t seem realistic to me as they’re not the biggest firm in the space but please don’t waste your time.
